Policy on Supplementary Exams for 12th Grade

Class Intermediate Exam Reappearance Rules 

• Those who have taken the supplementary exams for Part I and II, but failed one or two subjects, may take the exams again before the annual exams for Part I and II.
• Parts I and II have to be retaken by candidates who fail more than two subjects.
• Part I and II annual exams can now be taken by students who failed the supplementary exams or were compartmentalized in the previous academic year, according to the board’s rules.
• In order to request a recheck or recount, candidates must submit an online application to the BISE website within fifteen days of the results being released.
• You can retake Part I, Part II, or both exams once within two years from your initial examination in the same subject groups and courses following the current syllabus if you wish to improve your grades.

Grade improvement in passed subjects in the 2nd year 

In order to improve subjects for admission to engineering universities or medical colleges, one must take these factors into account. 

• The situation would be different if a student took an exam to increase their grade and received a higher score than on their previous exam. In this case, their status would be enhanced even if one or more papers showed lower marks.
• It is mandatory for a student to take both parts of an exam in a given subject. An improvement is considered if they receive a higher score in the subject (i.e., the combined score from both years) than their previous score. The lower marks they receive will be viewed as a lack of improvement, which will result in an unchanged score in that subject.
• Students who take exams in more than one subject to improve their scores will only be considered improved in the subject in which they receive a higher mark when they take multiple subjects. In other subjects, the previous scores will remain unchanged.
• Students who take more than one exam but not in one of the subjects will have significant increases in the scores for the other subjects, but their old scores in the subject they didn’t take will remain the same.
• When a student has passed his or her 11th-grade examination (Part I), he or she can choose to improve both those scores, along with their 12th-grade marks. They must, however, forfeit their 11th-grade results and pay the prescribed fee in order to do so. After this, they will not be able to improve their marks in the future.
• In order to improve their grades in Part I, Part II, or one or more specific subjects, students who passed their exams with concessional marks must retake their exams in these subjects.
